Anime: Azumanga Daioh

              Azumanga Daioh is one of those classic anime that everyone has seen. This anime has one of those plots that aren't really amazing. The plot is these main group of girls that goes through 3 years of high school, with some minor characters like Kaori a girl who has a crush on Sakaki, a teacher Yukari which is there English homeroom teacher that's not the best at her job and likes to party, Minamo a gym teacher which is Yukari's best friend and is liked by all students, and Kimura  creepy teacher who admits only being a teacher for all the girls; and has a crush on Kaori.
          Throughout the 26 episode series they go though 3 years sophomore, junior, senior year. The main reason this show is so popular is because of the characters so I'm going to explain the main group of girls in more detail.

Yukari And Minamo

           Yomi is the average girl; she worries about her weight, worries about school and her future. Yomi is the more down to earth character which is why its so funny she is best friends with Tomo.
          Tomo is a spunky, hyperactive, easily offends, loud, and one of the air head characters. Tomo won't leave Yomi's side, she loves to compare sizes, the only reason she was able to get in the same school as Yomi is because she worked her butt off for the entrance exam; just to prove Yomi wrong.
         Osaka; how to explain her? Osaka is a country girl from Osaka; but even there she was weird. Osaka is very slow, falls asleep in class, and listens to everything Tomo says.
         Kagura doesn't show up until year 2; Kagura is the average tomboy girl, she loves sports, being outside, getting tans. Kagura believes Sakaki and her are rivals, but Sakaki doesn't really care. Kagura will try to beat her in anything like sports down to eating the fastest.
        Sakaki is a tall beautiful girl. Sakaki is naturally good at sports, has a great figure, and is good at most things. What she doesn't tell people is she wishes to be shorter and cute like Chiyo, she loves kittens and you find out they hate her, and becomes best friends with Chiyo and her giant dog.
       Chiyo; well there isn't much to tell she is a perfect genius that is 10 years old and got in high school, she loves cooking playing with her dog, she wishes she was taller and cool like Sakaki, and deals with child problems of being in high school.
       Kaori and Kimura; Kaori is energetic but her main plot is trying to be with Sakaki. Kimura is a major pervert whom loves high school girls, but gets a crush on Kaori and freaks her out throughout the series.
      Yukari and Minamo; Yukari is the English home room teacher best friends since childhood with Minamo. Yukari is lazy, late, always comparing herself to Minamo. Minamo is the gym and home room teacher for another class. Minamo is the responsible type, but still wants to enjoy life, always taking care of Yukari, and going on trips with Yukari and the girls to the beach. Get Minamo drunk and she says things she shouldn't especially in front of a ten year old girl.
